Keep range figures in context

A range figure should identify the vehicle version, whether it describes electric or combined driving, and its test cycle. CLTC, WLTC and WLTP are distinct testing references and should not be treated as interchangeable labels. Read each published value with the manufacturer's stated conditions. Real-world use depends on factors such as temperature, speed, load, road conditions and climate-control demand.

Separate similar technical terms

Distinguish battery capacity from charging power, and peak charging power from the time needed for a stated charging interval. Check whether a power figure refers to an individual motor or to the propulsion system. Keep units visible when comparing vehicles. Avoid calculating a missing specification from unrelated headline figures; ask for the current technical sheet or a written clarification instead.

Read equipment status correctly

A feature can be standard, optional, unavailable or awaiting confirmation for the selected trim. These states should remain distinct in any comparison. A blank field is not evidence that the feature is absent or fitted. Match the model year and version across all documents, and carry important equipment requirements into the written enquiry and final vehicle specification.
